Daniel Damiano
Daniel Damiano is an Award-Winning Playwright, award-nominated actor and published poet based in Astoria. His plays have been produced  and/or workshopped throughout the U.S. and Australia.  In 2013, he is slated to have two World Premiers of his plays;  DAY OF THE DOG with  St. Louis Actors' Studio in March and THE GOLDEN YEAR, which will premier with the WorkShop Theater Company in NYC in June.  His poems have thus far been published in Hotmetal Press, Cloudbank  and, most recently, in the inaugural edition of the Newtown Literary Journal; 
the first Queens-based journal exclusively dedicated to poetry and prose. The latter publication also resulted in his being nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Prize for his poem "If the Pigeons Vanished from the Streets of New York City..." Website:  http://www.danieldamiano.com/


Brian Harrison
Brian Harrison was born and raised in Queens, NY. He studied Cinema & Photography at Ithaca College and has spent four years working on some of the best film and television productions to come out of the Tri-State area. His writing has been previously published in ThunderDome Magazine. Brian currently resides in Westchester with his lovely fiancee and stepdaughter to-be.


Annabel Short
Annabel Short lives in Astoria, Queens with her husband and two sons. In 2011 she interviewed one person a week along Astoria’s 30th Avenue for her blog 30th Ave – A Year in the Life of A Street.” Her essay Littoral Zone appeared in the inaugural issue of Newtown Literary, and she has had articles published in Open Democracy, Geographical, the Guardian and elsewhere. Her work with a human rights organization takes up plenty of her time but that doesn’t stop her from writing when she can. You can get a glimpse of her life and words at http://ewiny.blogspot.com.

Tim Suermondt 
Tim Suermondt is the author of two full-length collections: TRYING TO HELP THE ELEPHANT MAN DANCE ( The Backwaters Press, 2007 ) and JUST BEAUTIFUL from New York Quarterly Books, 2010. He has published poems in Poetry, The Georgia Review, Blackbird, Able Muse, Prairie Schooner, PANK, Bellevue Literary Review and Stand Magazine (U.K.) and has poems forthcoming in Gargoyle, Lunch Ticket and Zymbol, among others. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, the poet Pui Ying Wong.

Maria Terrone 
Maria Terrone is the author of two poetry collections: A Secret Room in Fall (2006), co-winner of the McGovern Prize from Ashland Poetry Press and The Bodies We Were Loaned (The Word Works, 2002), as well as a chapbook, American Gothic, Take 2 (2009). Her work, nominated four times for a Pushcart Prize, has been published in French and Farsi and has appeared in 20 anthologies and such magazines as Ploughshares, The Hudson Review, Poetry and Poetry International. She was commissioned by the Guggenheim Museum to write an essay for its multidisciplinary project, stillspotting nyc, which was presented in Queens over four weekends last spring.
